Today the Grade 5 class talked about artist Paul Klee and looked at his work Castle and Sun. We then made our own cities inspired by his work using oil pastels.

The fifth graders all worked together to make this bulletin board of their interpretation of the color wheel. They each picked their favorite colors and and made a small drawing. We then put all the pictures together like this in the hallway outside of the art room.

Teaching at Ascot International, Bangkok

I visited Ascot International School in Bangkok this month and worked with the Key Stage 2 students. We made birds out of paper, tissue paper, pipe cleaners and paint. When it was finished it was installed in the front entry way. It was very fun and I look forward to visiting again.

Finger Puppets

I'm starting 2 puppet ECAs next week so I'm making samples. We will make finger puppets and then write a sketch for them to perform.

Finger Puppets, felt and thread

These are made with felt. The features are glued and drawn on and then the front and back will be sewn together. They are about 3 inches tall. The students will design their own puppet and we will write their story together.
