Printmaking with the Fifth graders
In preparation for visiting a museum with printed posters, we are learning about printmaking. The fifth graders are printing a cityscape skyline on a shore with ghost prints for the reflection in the water. The week before they painted a water colour background, another great idea seen on Pinterest.

I carved a panda and let the students make prints of it on rice paper.

Modigliani Self Portraits

Modigliani Self Portraits
The fifth graders looked at the work of Modigliani and made self portraits for their first lesson this year. I saw this idea on Pinterest.

Music and Art Week

We had a concert for Music and Art Week. The Choir and Percussion Ensemble performed. The dance and puppet groups also performed to a sold out house.
All the students in the International Primary School worked on the 3 large paintings in the background.

We spent a week painting. The canvases are paintings of monster language.

We also painted Monster Boxes. The fifth graders did an Exquisite Corps exercise drawing monsters on paper, which we blew up on the boxes and painted.

Slinky Lizards

The third graders made slinky lizards. They enjoyed designing them and decorating them.
I found the pattern on Pinterest saved from the art-paper-scissors blog.
